September is Suicide Prevention Month — a time to raise awareness of this urgently important crisis. We use this month to shift public perception, spread hope and share vital information to people affected by suicide.
School counselors throughout the country will be speaking to students about suicide prevention and intervention. Here at St. Anthony, we will be discussing the importance of community and how we look out for each other during our darkest times, the signs of an individual who may be vulnerable to suicidal thoughts and ideations, and resources for those struggling with suicidal ideation and those who are concerned about someone having suicidal thoughts. We will be discussing this important topic during our chapel time on Wednesday, September 4th.
