College, Career and Military Readiness (CCMR)

 

In the Individual Planning component of school counseling, students are guided in planning, monitoring and managing their own educational, career, personal, and social development.  This includes planning courses during their years at St. Anthony Catholic High School. Each student is provided with the necessary steps to help them reach his/her established goals.

Each grade level's individual planning goals are addressed uniquely to meet CCMR requirements:

 

9th Grade CCMR Goals and Tasks:

Addressing the transition to high school

Four-year planning to help facilitate transition from one grade level to the next
Select classes for sophomore year
PSAT 9 testing
Career exploration
 

10th Grade CCMR Goals and Tasks:

Audit credits and select classes for junior year
Discuss dual credit options and opportunities for junior and senior year
PSAT/NMSQT testing
Career exploration
 

11th Grade CCMR Goals and Tasks:

Audit credits and select classes for senior year

Discuss dual credit options and opportunities for senior year

College exploration

PSAT/NMSQT and SAT testing

 

12th Grade CCMR Goals and Tasks:

Review credits and graduation requirements

Post Secondary planning including transition to college and the job market

Completing college and scholarship applications

SAT testing

 

The counseling center is open during school hours and is available for students to work on any of the above tasks including but not limited to: 

Completing their high school resume

Submitting a college application

Conducting a career interest inventory 

Drafting college essays

Researching post-secondary educational opportunities including colleges, universities and technical schools

Completing tasks for military enlistment
