UIW-Brainpower Pathway Program

 
The UIW-Brainpower Pathway Program allows international students to start their U.S. education journey a year early to set them up for college success. Participating students study at St. Anthony Catholic High School for one year and receive automatic conditional admission from the University of the Incarnate Word for a four-year undergraduate program.

  • Access to a U.S. university education with generous scholarships for Pathway participants at both the high school and university level
Students interested in the Pathway Program should submit a St. Anthony online application and meet all application requirements listed on our application page. Students should indicate on the application that they are applying for the Pathway Program.
 
Students who apply for the Pathway Program will automatically have their documents forwarded to the University of the Incarnate Word for consideration for conditional admission at the time of application.

High-achieving students may qualify for the Honors track of the Pathway Program. Students with at least a 3.5 GPA upon entry and a 75 score on the TOEFL may apply for this program. Students in this track will be eligible to take between 2-4 dual credit classes at the University of the Incarnate Word during their senior year and earn transferable college credit before graduation. Students in the Honors Pathway Program are also eligible for increased scholarship awards at both St. Anthony and the University of the Incarnate Word.

Students who apply for the Pathway Program will automatically have their documents forwarded to the University of the Incarnate Word for consideration for conditional admission at the time of application. Students will need to submit updated documents after their 12th grade year to finalize their enrollment.
