Class of 1968 - Dan L. Lopez
Dan Lopez, St. Anthony Catholic High School class of 1968. He has been selected as Volunteer of the Year for the Iowa 2024 Hall of Fame. Dan was awarded for his work creating and working Daniel L Lopez Ministries. Dan is also joined by his wife Mollie as the co-founder. The ceremony will be April 30th at the Iowa State Capitol Rotunda (1st floor) and will be hosted by Governor Kim Reynolds. He received nominations from a very impressive list of folks including the Chaplain for the Des Moines Police, the Iowa Soybean Association, several churches and companies, a United Way recovery facility, schools, and prominent individuals too. His ministry involves gathering donations of food, clothing, household goods & furniture, supplies and other necessities of life (he started with backpacks for schools) and delivering the goods to other charities and individuals in need. A generous donor gave provided funding toward a truck and never looked back since. Dan and his wife Mollie have been conducting acts of service through their ministry, living up to the Yellow Jacket way for over 15 years.

Class of 2023 - Madisyn Vara
Madisyn was Captain of the cheer team and awarded Valedictorian and the 2023 Harvard Prize Book Award her senior year.
Class of 2018 - Portland Tidwell
Portland graduates in May and she is an intern on Channel 4 . She won 2nd Runner up in July at the Miss USA pageant and is on the Deans list and Presidents list with a 4.0 GPA.
Class of 2006 - Alejandro Flores III
Alejandro Flores is a graduate from St. Anthony Catholic High School, Oblate Cross Recipient, and Yellow Jacket Spirit that is unmatched (what mascot isn't). Currently you will find Mr. Flores at just about every STA event capturing life's most memorable moments as a photographer. Alongside his artistic eye, is his love for music and worship as Choir director, alongside his performances on stage as a musician. Following his artistic eye and exquisite sound is his passion for Bowling. Mr. Flores led his Lady Yellow Jacket Bowling team to a District Championship with one of his student athletes receiving All-State honors.
Class of 2020 - Matias Castillo
Matias Castillo, Valedictorian of his class in 2020 graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Matias will continue his journey at University of Notre Dame where he will obtain his PhD in Aerospace Engineering.
Class of 2013 - Naomi Freeman
After she graduated high school she attended The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) where she received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and continued to obtain her Masters in Business in 2019. Naomi has then spent 5 years in the Business/ finance department for UIW. Concluding her time at UIW, Naomi and her brother - Ricardo Valadez (STA class of 2017) went on to pursue a "calling from God" to open a Christian based coffee shop - Through Grace Coffee. This is the second business that Naomi owns, the other being an online boutique - J Lacel. Naomi recently just married the love of her life and continues to live out her faith by sharing the word of God to her community.
