Tuition Assistance and Scholarships

For over 120 years St. Anthony Catholic High School has been dedicated to a curriculum based on Catholic values and traditions. We are committed to supporting you through the process of finding the financial decision that works best for your family. Please review the financial options available, and any eligibility requirements for aid. With the help of former Yellow Jackets, the Brainpower Connection Program and the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word (CCVI), we are able to consider aid to those that complete their application.

DISCOUNTS

Siblings of current Yellow Jacket students will receive an automatic $1000 discount per family. Verification must be received through our Enrollment office and noted on your application.

Must apply through UIW Human Resources department. More information can be found in the UIW Employee Handbook.

Students who are dependents or grandchildren of alumni will receive an automatic $1000 discount per family. Verification and request must be submitted through our Enrollment office and noted on your application.

Must submit verification to St. Anthony Catholic High School (SACHS). Brainpower employees must request the Brainpower tuition waiver application to SACHS. Upon receiving, Enrollment department will verify employment with employee's school.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Students who graduate from a brainpower middle school listed below will receive an annual scholarship.

Brainpower Middle Schools:

 

Awards $1,500

Open to students who are currently involved in their church/parish as an altar server, Eucharistic Minister, or serve in a role within a youth group leadership team. A letter must be submitted every year and signed by a priest, deacon or youth group minister from your church/parish.

 

Awards $750

In order to qualify for this scholarship, submit a copy of your student's transcript and verification letter from the middle school for review by SACHS Enrollment department and Counselor.
 
Awards $750
Students who are the Valedictorian or Salutatorian as an 8th grader qualify for this scholarship. This is a one-time scholarship to assist with 9th grade tuition. The Valedictorian or Salutatorian status must be confirmed by the middle school principal. Please submit verification letter to the Enrollment office.
**Renewable as long as the student stays in the top 10 of their class and maintains a satisfactory discipline.
**Not stackable with Top 10% Scholarship.
 
Awards $2000
The Transfer Grant is available to any public, private, home school, or charter school student who transfers into St. Anthony Catholic High School in grades 10th-12th. This is a one-time scholarship that will be awarded for the first year as a transfer student.

EXTERNAL TUITION ASSISTANCE

St. Anthony Catholic High School encourages parents to apply for the Hope for the Future tuition assistance program. Hope for the Future provides need-based tuition assistance for students who meet eligibility requirements and enroll in Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

Offered by the Vargas Family, this award was established in loving memory of Matt Vargas—a cherished son, brother, cousin, and nephew—who proudly attended St. Anthony throughout all four years.

 

This scholarship aims to support families facing financial challenges while providing their children with a private Catholic education. It is awarded annually to a student who demonstrates a deep passion for being part of the St. Anthony community and embodies the mission and values of the school.

OTHER TUITION ASSISTANCE

All students who have a financial need for tuition assistance MUST submit a Hope for the Future (HFF) application. If the HFF application is not submitted, consideration will NOT be given.

Students who are in need of tuition assistance beyond the scholarships listed above must submit a 3-paragraph essay, please choose any three of the following questions below:

  1. How will a SACHS scholarship help you achieve your life goals?
  2. What is a meaningful experience or class you have had in your education career?
  3. Have you experienced Adversity? Tell us about a time you overcame adversity.
  4. Describe your career aspirations. How do you plan to achieve them?
  5. Have you participated in a community service project? Tell us about the project and the impact it had on the community.
  6. How have you overcome a significant challenge in your life, and how has it impacted your personal growth?

Parent(s) must also submit an email to Jessica Garza at [email protected] explaining why they need tuition assistance beyond the listed scholarships and Hope for the Future assistance.
